CHRISTMAS MARKET

Local Businesses spread Christmas cheer and raise money for Village School PTA

On December 6th, The Meeting Place hosted a market featuring nine local artists and traders which, despite occasional hail storms and rain shower was a great success.

Neil Attewell, the Meeting Place leader said there were some concerns as to whether we could pull it off in the current environment and so soon after lockdown was lifted but we worked with the council's covid compliance team and made sure the environment was clean and safe at all times.

In addition to bumper sales from a steady flow of customers wanting to buy local, there was an added bonus of over £100 raised for the local primary school PTA with a raffle of prizes donated by the stall holders.  There was plenty of praise for the organisation of the day and several requests for a repeat in the near future.
